OUR PROGRAM
We work with students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, autism, and additional disabilities (such as visual impairment, deafness, cerebral palsy, and medical conditions). We promote integration with our public school sites to celebrate relationships with our school communities and typical peers.
Our Philosophy
The SRCS ESN (Extensive Support Needs) Department is strongly committed to human rights, social justice, inclusivity, and equal access for individuals with disabilities across the lifespan of our students. We support the full participation of individuals with disabilities and their families in the same educational, workforce, and social communities as their peers.
We embody compassion, empathy, and respect for what every individual brings to the learning experience. We believe that all students can learn and that students’ learning potential is unknown and not pre-determined.
We believe the goal of the teacher is to develop students’ minds as powerful thinkers and problem-solvers.
