ESN Program Curriculum
Social Emotional Skills
Our structured program is designed to teach students the skills they need to understand and manage their emotions and the emotions of others, and to build positive relationships with their peers and adults.
What are Social Emotional Skills?
Social-emotional skills refer to the ability to understand and manage one's own emotions, as well as the emotions of others. These skills are important for all students but may be especially challenging for students with disabilities or special learning needs.

Our ESN Programs include social-emotional skills development as part of the curriculum, with the goal of helping students to develop self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
This includes activities and exercises to help students:
-
recognize and express their emotions,
-
understand the emotions of others,
-
manage stress and anxiety,
-
and build positive relationships with their peers and adults.
Social-emotional skills are important for success in school and in life and can help students to better navigate the social and emotional challenges that they may encounter.
