What is Speech Therapy?
Speech therapy is embedded into the fabric of our program, students receive Speech Therapy either directly or through a group or consultative. We support students who are struggling with communication disorders such as stuttering, articulation problems, or language delays. Speech therapists work with students to develop their language and communication skills through a variety of techniques and strategies. These may include exercises to improve pronunciation, conversation practice, and activities to increase vocabulary and language comprehension. Speech therapy can be provided in individual or group settings, and therapists work closely with teachers to incorporate therapy goals into the classroom setting. The ultimate goal of speech therapy in schools is to help students become more effective communicators and to improve their academic and social success.
