Depending on the goals and needs of each student, the curriculum also includes instruction on specific job tasks or skills required for a particular job or career field. Accommodations or modifications are made to the curriculum as needed to meet the unique needs of each student, such as visual or auditory supports, assistive technology, or extra time to complete tasks.
The goal of this type of curriculum is to help students with special needs develop the skills and confidence they need to pursue employment and be successful in the workplace.
